14 Weeks

Unfortunately the General Electric brand machines they use don't record sound.

*"What's Going On with the Baby

By now, the little fetus looks pretty much like a real person--except that he or she (even a really sharp ultrasound technician would be hard pressed to tell you which) is only about two or three inches long, weighs less than an ounce, and has translucent skin.  Teeth, fingernails, toenails, and hair are developing nicely, and the brain is not far behind.  By the end of this month, the baby will be able to curl its toes, turn its head, and even frown."

By the time this is written, all of the things in that last sentence are taking place.  :)  Stacie is starting to show, and although I don't think she completely believes me, she is looking sexy as hell.

The doctor is 98% sure it's a girl.  He doesn't recommend buying anything pink until our next appointment though. (four days now)  We have almost settled on a name.. but I'm not telling.  haha.

There are two books geared towards the expectant fathers I am reading right now.  One designed to make you laugh (What To Expect When Your Wife Is Expanding).. and the other to explain to a clueless male just what the hell is going on (The Expectant Father).  More on both of those with the next post.  Time to go to family dinner.
